T&Cs

Please note that upon payment of the deposit, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1 / Consultations

- I offer a free 20min consultation so we can discuss your needs and my approach to decluttering. I recommend this is done in person, at the site where the session will take place.

2 / Bookings

- To secure your first booking, I ask for a 50% deposit payable in advance.

- The remaining 50% of the fee (plus the cost of a vehicle to take away items for donation to charity shops if agreed) is due 7 days after the appointment.

3 / Disposal of Items

- The client is responsible for any and all items disposed of during the decluttering process.

 

- While I can provide advice on whether to sell, dispose of or donate items, the final decision is entirely the client’s. I will treat all items with respect and care, but I do not have the expertise to value or identify rare or valuable items.

- With prior arrangement I can remove one load of items by vehicle to be donated to charity shops at the cost of £20, payment due 7 days after the appointment. 

​

- I am not able to remove items for the tip, landfill or recycling and the client must arrange this themselves.

4 / Confidentiality & Privacy

- I will treat any information about the client and their possessions with the utmost confidentiality, professionalism and respect. Such information will not be divulged to third parties without the client’s express permission.

- ‘Before and after’ photos will only be taken with the client’s permission.

5 / Cancellations & Rescheduling

- I ask for 48hrs notice for any cancellations or to reschedule an appointment.

- Cancellations with less than 48hrs notice are subject to a fee of 50% of the appointment cost, in the form of the pre-paid deposit.

6 / *New Clients Special Offer

- When booking their first 3-hour decluttering session, new clients receive 30 minutes for free, thus paying for just 2.5 hours.

- Discount is limited to one session per client, for clients who have not used Sorted, Brighton's services previously.

6 / **Low Income Discounts

- Low income discounts are agreed on a case by case basis according to individual need and circumstances. I reserve the right to refuse a low income discount, to limit the number of discounted sessions per client, and to limit the number of low income clients I work with at any one time.
